Our engagements for the development of sustainable tourism

What is the sustainable tourism?

Sustainable tourism is defined by the World Tourism Organisation (WTO) as “tourism that takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, by meeting the needs of visitors, professionals, the environment and host communities ”. It aims to balance the three pillars of sustainable development in the production and realisation of tourist activities.

We are working on 4 different topics

As the video explains very well, sustainable tourism works on three ways. An economic development which respects the environment and which is equitable for the local populations. For this, we work at ground level by doing social work and also works on education

The preservation of heritage is also an way on which we develop new experiences

Part of our profits and our time goes for the accomplishment of actions in these different fields.

Environment

The environment of the Aurangabad region is very fragile. We are trying to take action to preserve it.

Social

Tourism development must be able to benefit the greatest number of people. Our social actions are directed in this way.

Education

For us, education is a fundamental right and above all it is the first source of freedom. Helping with education is therefore essential.

Heritage protection

Protecting heritage is necessary for developing tourism. It is above all a proof of the city’s past. Protecting the history allows you to look into the future.

Here are our actions to promote the development of Aurangabad region

“Hummingbird! Aren’t you crazy? You are not going to put out the fire with these drops of water!”

And the hummingbird replied, “I know it, but I’m doing my part.” Pierre Rabhi

The fight against pollution is a constant battle.

Like many countries, India has lot of garbage especially plastic waste. We want to create environmental awareness actions regarding this topic.

We are committed to reduce our waste as in part of our tours. One of the concrete actions that we have implemented is the replacement of single-use plastic bottles with reusable plastic bottles. Each customer can drink mineral water without creating plastic waste.

We also organised cleaning campaigns in villages like Charthana.

"Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world." N. Mandela

For us, it is very important to be able to give each child an education and the keys to learn. It took us a little longer to find an educational initiative that we wanted to support.

In early January 2020, we met the Aarambh center. It is a center for autistic people and for people with slow learning. We engaged in dialogue with them to see what we could do to help. Our action is still in process

Integration of women through work

We support the NGO Savitribai Phule Mandal which helps needy women in Aurangabad. They offer training programs for a trade so that women can become independent. There are different training courses: cooking, sewing or beauty parlour courses. If you take a tour with us that goes through Aurangabad, we can organise a visit to this NGO.

Promote to preserve

We support and participate in local heritage protection initiatives and spreads the knowledge on the history of Aurangabad. In this context, we help the Aurangabad history society in raising awareness of heritage.

We regularly visit villages to raise awareness about heritage.
